Abstract | Geological suppositions of localization of the main important minerals, such as antimony, gold, lithium, silver, platinum have been discovered in Pakistan. Wide sources of coal (more than 185 milliards of tonnes), copper (more than 6 milliards of tonnes) and iron (more than 1.3 milliards of tonnes) have been defined. Inexhaustible supplies of plaster-stone, fire and kaolin clays, florida clay, stone salt, basalt, bentonite, building stone and construction materials have been existed in all provinces and greatly used. Several large mineral objects, such as coal deposit Thar (Sind province), iron ore deposits in Dilband, Kalat (Ba lochistan) and Nizampur (North-Western boundary province) have been recently discovered. The data about several important explored and extracted useful minerals, resources and prognosis resources, yearly extraction volumes have been described in the paper. The role of The Geological Service of Pakistan in explorations and researching of minerals objects has been shown.Key words: Pakistan, deposits of minerals materials, resources of raw materials, annual capacity. |
