Abstract | The article states the procedure and the results of the study of lead slag cleaning in bubble-type aggregates. The study was mainly aimed on experimental testing of the possibility to clean rich by zinc slag in the conditions of its purging by a reduction gas mixture with major volume of zinc being preserved in it. The first stage of the work was devoted to thermodynamic calculations of slag cleaning under different conditions, it was carried out with the help of software complex and data bases for thermodynamic calculations FactSage. In order to verify the adequacy of the results obtained with the help of thermodynamic calculations laboratory experiments on lead slag cleaning were undertaken on the second stage of the work. The procedure and the results of crucible melting in an induction furnace are presented in full. On the third stage of the work, described in the article, pilot testing was carried out on the enhanced laboratory Vanyukov’s furnace available in Gipronickel Institute. The testing has demonstrates principal possibility of slag effective cleaning by lead with the major volume of zing being preserved, testing has also provided principal technical indices of this process. Final products of pilot testing were black lead with about 0.55% of sulfur and slag, containing 1.2–1.6% of lead and 5.8–6.5% of zinc. Pilot testing of the cleaning stage of the lead concentrate processing has proved the results of the laboratory experiments and thermodynamic calculations. |
