Abstract | Mouldscreen software executes calculation and allows to visualize flux film properties between shell of continuously cast billet and mould wall. In this case all most important technological parameters are reflected, e.g. shell thickness, local and integrated density of heat flow, resistance of heat transfer in flux film and its thickness in solid and liquid conditions, cooling water temperature, as well as temperature of copper plates in different points. Registration of technological data required for calculation is conducted via choosing screen masks, Excel tables or on-line. Just after input of technological parameters (casting speed, volume of delivered water, mould geometry, steel casting mixture, steel chemical composition etc.) in different screen windows, the results can be obtained in graphic mode. Special software tool Muldscreen Modify has been developed for analysis of different technological conditions and their display at the screen. Additionally, for the first time it is possible to recognize operatively critical production states of a mould and, as a result, taking corresponding correcting solutions. Especial advantage of Mouldscreen algorithm is concluded in its easy applicability for investigation of operating parameters and inverse simulation. |
