Abstract | We demonstrate the possibility of exciting the multi−band emission in the visible and UV spectrum ranges by diode pumps of up−conversion solid−state active media on the basis of single crystal BaY2F8. The multiband luminescence in the visible spectral range is presented for one− and a multiband diode pumping by infrared (IR) laser diodes. The possibility of luminescence excitation in the 230 to 650 nm region from the overlaying 4f and 5d states of the Pr3+ and Ce3+ ions in the BaY2F8:(Yb3+, Pr3+, Ce3+) active media by 960, 840, 808 and 405 nm radiation has been discussed. |
