Abstract | The article is devoted to innovation technology for production of tubing pipes and tubes in cold-resistant and corrosion-resistant modifications from continuously cast billets. This technology is based on radial-displacement rolling and uses reduction on 3-roll cross-rolling mill before piercing in TPA-80 continuous tube rolling mill at Sinarsky Tube Works. Mastering of the new technology was accompanied with increase of wastes with dimples by 6-7%; later this problem has been solved successfully via modernization of cutting operation. Especial attention is paid to the problems of obtaining fine-grained microstructure of 32KhG steel and quality of finished tubes. Efficiency of the presented technology is shown from the point of view of providing high level of mechanical properties. Histograms of mechanical properties of steel tubes manufactured via conventional and new technologies are comparatively analyzed. It is shown that dispersion of mechanical properties for tubes produced from continuously cast billets decreased by 10% in average compared with tubes manufactured from rolled billets. Modernization of the tube rolling mill provides lowering of tube cost by 10%, increase of productivity by 15%, rise of yield from 98.8 to 99.08%. As a result, wall thickness deviation of shells decreased by 1-2% in average, while wear resistance elevated by 8-10%. |
