Abstract | A concept for diffusion dissolution of the shrinkage porosity in the single crystalline blades from Ni-base superalloys is developed. It allows one to minimize plastic deformation under HIP and deter from recrystallization. It is assumed that a vacancy-controlled mechanism of the pores dissolution can be realized when the vacancies can reach the open surface of the blade under HIP. In such a case the diffusion path of vacancies in the microstructure has to be equal to the cross section of the upper part of the blade. The effect of structural defects and pressure on diffusion of vacancies is estimated. An approach developed is applied to design of the two-step regime of HIP for single crystalline blades from Ni-base superalloy GS32. The two-step HIP enshures densification of the blades without recrystallization and improves performance. First step of HIP is carried out at temperature lower than temperature of solves for γ′-phase (Tsol), i. e. in two-phase γ-γ'-field, when a great impediment for the plastic deformation exists. Second step of HIP is carried out near Tsol, where the rest pores are filled with the material by means of the local plastic deformation. The two-step regime of HIP under consideration increases the value of time-to-rupture for Ni-base superalloy GS32 at temperature 1000 оС under 245 МPа from 167 (without HIP) hours to 213 hours; the high-cycle fatigue at room temperatures increases from 147 до 186–206 МPа. |
