Abstract | Currently, the costs on grinding and crushing are under 80% of the whole exploitation costs on extraction and processing of ores. While the explosive crushing in the open pit, ore is subjected to the explosive loads. These explosive loads exert a powerful impact on its technological properties – lumpiness, microstructure, strength properties, acoustic performance, magnetic and other characteristics. At the expense of increasing of the elementary discharge of the explosives and choice of the direction of explosion operation with a glance of ore`s anisotropy, intensification of the explosive loads allows: to increase considerably the ore-preparation efficiency and to improve sufficiently the enrichment indices of the ferruginous quartzites with the existing technological schemes without the additional capital investments. Cheap explosives are made on the place of their application. Conversion of ore-dressing and processing enterprises on application of cheap explosives, high-productive drilling machinery and modern short-delay blasting agents allows to increase the power and ensure the necessary direction of the explosive impact on ore without the noticeable increasing of exploitation costs. At the expense of this, more high-quality turnout can significantly increase without increasing of the production volume. |
