Abstract

The sphere of interests of M. D. Millionshchikov as a scientist included both the deep researchings of the theoretical nature, and the problems associated with the development of technology and industry. He made the significant contribution into one of the most difficult sections of continuum mechanics – the theory of turbulence. M. D. Millionshchikov developed the theory of isotropic turbulence, formulated the turbulent fluctuations decay law, for the first time researched the role of inertial particles in isotropic turbulence phenomenon.
