Abstract | There is presented the review about the OJSC “SIC “Supermetal” as a processor of the secondary precious metals, raw materials and a manufacturer of the technology products from the precious metals (equipment for the production of the fiberglass, high-quality glass, monocrystals, nitric acid, equipment for chemistry, petrochemistry, materials for thermometry and medicine and etc.). There are touched upon the subjects about the organization of production and interaction of OJSC “SIC “Supermetal” with customers. A brief information is given about the basic technologies and materials, used in manufacturing, including the age-hardened materials on the basis of the platinum alloys and minar composites. There are given the advantages of non-refining processing of secondary platinum alloys, raw materials (pyrometallurgical refinement of industrial alloys without separating them into components). These processing consists of making the scrap/waste processing. It is significantly faster and lower in cost. A list of products with a brief description of specifications is given. The OJSC “SIC “Supermetal” manufactures more than 200 types of glass-melting devices and bushings for production of fibers of various kinds of glass and basalt, including the effective and economic small-sized designs of glass-melting devices and bushings, owing to reduction of their weight and improvement of their longevity in operation. In cooperation with Umicore AG&Co.KG (Germany), the OJSC “SIC “Supermetal” manufactures the catalyst systems of MKSprecise type, made of the platinum-based alloys, and the palladium-based catchment packages, used for oxidation of ammonia in the production of nitric acid. |
