Abstract | Effective use of semi-leaded brass in the form of rods and wires due to a number of significant advantages over the simple (double), brass, namely: excellent machinability with high speed and the separation of fine granular chips, it greatly simplifies its removal from the cutting zone, which is especially important processing on modern automated production lines, in addition, increased cleanliness of the surfaces of parts, as well as increased resistance of cutting tools. Additional positive qualities of these alloys are high corrosion resistance, elevated antifriction properties, sufficient strength, the relative cheapness. Adequate strength and plastic properties of the products of leaded brass in accordance with the requirements of normative documentation (ND) is achieved without too much trouble for them with minimal addition of smelting wastes and / or scrap. The problem with the requirements of ND occurs when, from the perspective of reducing production costs, use raw materials containing up to 70% scrap of different grades and / or waste of its own production. By making the traditional flow chart of significant changes concerning the treatment pre-fmish annealing and correlation coefficients to extract pre-finishing passes and finishing passes of drawing, provided a secure, proven practice of issuing commercial batches of compliance with the requirements of ND mechanical properties of rods and wire, made from both domestic brands brass LS59-1, LS58-2, LS63-3, and from many foreign brands, for example, CuZn40Pb2, CuZn39Pb3 (on DIN), CW617N, CW614N (on ENBS). Important for plant-consumer dignity of products discussed in this paper is considerably narrowed compared to the requirements of technical specifications for these products range of values of the ultimate tensile strength, which provides more efficient use of products in a real production. |
