Gornyi Zhurnal
New issue of "Gornyi Zhurnal" (Mining Journal) came out of press (No. 3, 2013).This issue presents the range of articles, which were prepared by specialists from Russian Geological Society (RosGeo). These articles include the modern organizational problems of Russian geological service in the light of experience, which has been accumulated for the twenty-year period of cardinal political and economic reforms. There are analyzed the events, connected with the history of computerization of geological research and subsoil usage. There is given a content-exclusive historical and economic analysis of production and consumption of iron ores in Russian Empire at the turn of XIX and XX centuries. This analysis is projected on the modern status of the country’s economy. The potential of international collaboration in and around the exploration, survey and development of hydrocarbon deposits is considered on the example of activities of the partner of RosGeo – Association of Russian Scientific and Engineering Intellectuals in Norway. There are shown the successes of Russian geological organizations, which headed for re-equipment of its funds and confidently use the innovation approaches and technologies in their scientific and industrial activities. There are detaily described the results of researching of RosGeo in and around the innovation direction – medical geology. Other materials of this issue are included into the traditional sections, which share, practically all directions of mining operations.
