Chernye Metally

Metallurgy is the typical representative of industrial technological way and continues to be an important part ofthe world economy. In the article by Yu.L. A.Russov's article is published in the section "Control, organizationandmanagementofproduction".The article discribes a new control system of a warehouse, introduced by ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe company at the plant in Duisburg-Beeckerwerth. The system allows to plan and precisely on-line transportation of slabs.

The article by D. Shaumburg describes wireless management of the crane which reliability was confirmed at a construction of a new forging press with force of 12 thousand tons.

There are many various opinions about the German writer, officer and military E. Yunger. On the one hand he was a officer of german army, on the other hand he was a writer who criticized fascism in his publications. In D. Haberland's article describes "In steel thunder-storms" based on E.Yunger's personal experience at the time of World War I, is observed.

Information about visit of Katharine Kolganoff' in NationalUniversityofScienceandTechnology "MISIS" is published in the section "Metallurgicalhistory ". She is the great-granddaughter of the famous French metallurgist Pierre Martin.
