Gornyi Zhurnal
The 4-th issue of “Gornyi Zhurnal” (Mining Journal) (April 2016) is devoted to the 85-th anniversary of the “VNII Galurgy” Institute and tells about its foundation and development, and about the basic ways of its scientific and project activity.
This issue also tells about the modern investigations and developments of the Institute.
The specialists in physics and mechanics of rocks may be interested in the results of investigation of the influence of the rate of station tunnels drifting on the Earth surface deformation during metro construction, and in new approaches to calculation of the primary stress field in rock massif.
The item “Hydrogeology and protection of environmental water” shows the investigations of the Kuchuk lake basin in Altai Krai and salt runoff of the small rivers of Upper Kama deposit of potassium-magnesium salts. Changes of hydrogeological conditions during the emergency deformation of underworked rock massif were analyzed on example of the flooded Berezniki mine BKPRU-1. This investigation makes possible the assessment of the possibility of fresh groundwater entering to salt rocks in post-emergency period.
The issues of intensification of flotation desliming of potassium rocks and increasing of the quality of fertilizers on their basis are urgent for the specialists in mineral raw materials processing.
The concept of automated control for potash flotation plant and implementation of the system for design data management are shown in the item “Equipment and Materials”.
Modern requirements to mining objects include the ecological aspects which are shown in the item “Environmental protection”.
