Gornyi Zhurnal

This special issue of "Gornyi Zhurnal" (Mining Journal) is devoted to the 25-th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Tajikistan and shows its all scientific-technical, production and social aspects of mining-industrial complex.

The state policy of the Republic in the sphere of subsoil use is characterized. The ways of transport problem solving are defined. The efforts for growing the volumes of coal extraction and production of construction materials are shown. The organization and scientific activity in the area of radiation safety is considered. The attention is paid both to the large recreation potential of Tajikistan, and to the possibilities of the accelerated development of tourism. The detailed technical characteristics of various minerals is given. The technologies allowing more rational use of mineral resources are shown. There is shown the history of creation and reconstruction of three gold mining companies (“Zarafshon”, “Aprelevka”, “Pokrud”) and “Zarnisor” enterprise for extraction and processing of polymetallic ores.

Articles about educational and scientific activity of the Tajikistan mining-geological universities show the types and role of international collaboration in specialists training for mining industrial complex of Tajikistan.
