The 3rd issue of our journal (March 2018) continues the series of publications about the 100th anniversary of Moscow Mining Academy. The history and development of three Moscow mining schools is told: the open-cast mining school, the geology and mine surveying school and the school which specializes in safety and ecology of mining.
This issue starts new item called “Mining news from CIS countries”. It begins with two articles from Azerbaijani authors about the potential of non-metallic and agronomic raw materials in the Republic.
Members of the Institute of Energetic Investigations RAS wrote an article about the forecast of extraction and consumption of coal in the world. It may be interesting to our readers, who are specialized in this branch of industry.
