Chernye Metally
The February issue of the journal presents six main sections: Production of cast iron and steel, Rolling and other processes of metal forming, Heat treatment, Metallurgy and metallography, Mechanical Engineering, Economics and Finance.
The first section presents an article continuing the topic of expanding the possibilities of using direct-flow submerged entry nozzles and devoted to the influence of the presence of a "shelf" on the outer surface of the SEN and electromagnetic effects within its length on qualitative distribution of metal flows.
In the section Rolling and other processes of metal forming we can highlight the article, the authors of which substantiated the relevance of developing a method for selecting the mode of straightening, aimed at expanding the straightening process on roller straightening machines and obtaining hot-rolled sheets with minimal residual stresses and potential energy suitable for plasma and laser cutting. The implementation of the method of selecting the mode of straightening of the hot-rolled strip on the basis of the results of finite-element modeling of the straightening process, confirmed by experimental data, is described. The proposed improvements in technology made it possible to obtain rolled products suitable for laser cutting in the conditions of PJSC Severstal.
The section Metallurgy and Metallography is devoted to the study of the possibility of determining the belonging of fragments and products of different grades of steels, aluminum and copper alloys to a single smelting by photoelectric spectral analysis of micro-impurity composition. A technique to establish the belonging of fragments to a single melting according to their micro-impurity elemental composition with a minimum number of measurements is proposed. The minimum geometric size of the sample suitable for analysis is determined, which allows to refer the studied fragments to one melting according to the results of the study of the expanded micro-impurity elemental composition.
The issue concludes with analytical material, the authors of which aimed to improve methodological approaches to assess the environmental risks of Russian ferrous metallurgy companies: based on the analysis of factors influencing the level of environmental risks, substantiate the system of assessment indicators, develop an algorithm for calculating the environmental risk index. not only the company's impact on the environment, but also the impact of environmental risks on the profit capitalization rate.
