Chernye Metally
The "Chernye Metally" journal No. 6-2022 was published, which is mainly devoted to rolling, pipe production and other metal forming processes.
The issue is headed with an article by the authors of the Novolipetsk Iron and Steel Works, devoted to the study of increasing the strength of sinter by reducing the -0.5 mm fraction in the composition of solid sintering fuel.
The "Steel production" section considers the influence of the gap between the rolls on parameters of roll briquetting of metallurgical lime and oxide.
The “Rolling and other metal forming processes” section presents articles on research in the field of hot rolling carried out by scientists from the Lipetsk and Magnitogorsk State Technical Universities. Of particular interest are the works performed at NLMK DanSteel during the development of the technology of thermomechanical rolling of thick plate bridge steels.
Article of specialists from the Kaluga branch of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University talks about the study of the accuracy of forgings during upsetting and closed stamping, taking into account the used forging and pressing equipment.
The work of the employees of the Naberezhnye Chelny Institute (branch) of the Kazan Federal University is devoted to the production of forgings for the crankshaft of a heavy-duty vehicle.
The "Pipe Production" section tells about the research carried out at NUST "MISiS" and JSC "RusNITI" on the problems of screw piercing and the production of pipes from high-strength steels, respectively.
In the same issue, articles were published in the "Metallurgy and Metallography" and "Engineering Technologies" sections, as well as a selection of memoirs about the rector and president of MISiS Yu. S. Karabasov.
