Due to increased amount of western investment to Kazakhstan mining industry, this article shows the necessity of unified system of management procedures, which is understandable for both international investors and mining engineers, involved in strategic decision-making. According to the authors’ opinion, a framework to implementation and evaluation of all investment projects and procedural terminology, compatible with existing foreign standards and practices, is the most appropriate way for implementation of this initiative. For the purpose of successful use of foreign experience in Kazakhstan mining industry, there is required the system of independent engineering certification. The certified mining engineers can make ideas from the point of view of international standards of Project Management and will be ready for efficient interaction with foreign investors and professionals. Application of Project Management methodology will allow to optimize innovation and investment activities of mining companies. Transition of Kazakhstan mining industry management procedures to international standards of Project Management will make the most efficient optimization.
