Abstract
Dismantling of nuclear power stations is accompanied with appearing of large scrap amounts, and there is a problem to provide its transportation for remelting. To solve this problem, the mobile melting unit has been developed by ALD Vacuum Technologies GmbH; it allows to process part of metal scrap (that is not characterized by high X-ray activity) and other wastes just at the site of nuclear power station. The process of mounting of such unit and its operating technology are described and illustrated. Economical effi ciency rises by 25%.
