Abstract

A brief description of international experience of innovative industrial development management is given. The innovative performance of the domestic industries related with the mineral raw materials is discussed from the view point of introduction of technological innovations. The share of companies that implemented technological innovations in the area of mineral mining in 2016 was 6% at most, which is an extremely low level by international standards. The article presents pivotal methodical provisions and recommendations on the improvement of innovative development management in area of subsoil use. It is shown that the innovation mechanism improvement in subsoil use assumes an explicit logical, organizational and resource interconnection between such components of strategic planning as technological forecast, strategy and program of development in the mineral raw material-related industries (including geological sector). The organization algorithm is proposed for innovation in the industries related with mineral raw materials. The algorithm supposes strategic planning of innovative development both at the level of an industry sector and a company. The priority areas of innovative development should be assigned with regard to the results of the competitive analyses of mineral prospecting, mining and processing technologies practiced by the world’s biggest industries and companies.
