Abstract

Static and dynamic magnetic properties and plasticity of Co-based amorphous alloy tapes (brand 84KXCP, the Fe–Co–Cr–Si–B system) for improvement increase in its properties and ensuring its competitive application on the modern management methods and control basis have been investigated. In researches two magnetomeasuring installations have been used. They are intended for automatic magnetic characteristics measurement of soft magnetic materials ring samples by GOST 8.377 techniques. In the dynamic mode magnetic properties were measured in a variation magnetic field with two frequencies — 50 and 400 Hz. Degree of a flexural tension relaxation when annealing tapes; reference tension relaxation temperature; and also — plasticity parameter at an amorphous tape on a bend test, have been defi ned in this alloy. It has been shown that a relaxation process begins at a annealing temperature of 120–130 °C. Embrittlement in amorphous alloy 84KXCP considerably happens at a annealing temperature about 400 °C. Thermo magnetic processing has been carried out at a temperature of 175 °C. At this processing temperature the tension relaxation intensively develops; however, embrittlement and the more so crystallization, don’t occur. The received coercive force field dependences were studied experimentally with a frequency of 50 Hz after heat magnetic treatment in the fi eld of 0,5 A/m. The essential feature — a maximum existence in the range of 500–700 A/m has been revealed. This feature is shown in all explored fields — from 0,5 up to 1,5 A/m. At the same time in case of Co-based amorphous alloy tests with a frequency of 400 Hz there is no coercive force maximum, which is observed at 550–750 A/m at 50 Hz. It has been shown that thermo magnetic processing of Co-based amorphous alloy (brand 84KXCP) in small fields differently influences its frequency magnetic properties. Thermo magnetic processing hold time in small fields practically doesn’t affect specific losses on magnetic reversal, if to measure them in the induction area close to alloy saturation induction.
