Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the screw piercing process of pipe workpieces using barrel-shaped, cup-shaped and tapered-shaped rolls. The study was carried out using computer modeling in the QForm program based on the finite element method. The main settings such as the dimensions of the pipe workpiece and hollow billet, the reduction rate of the pipe workpiece in the cross sections of the clamp and the spout of the piercing plug, the position of the piercing plug in the deformation center were assumed to be the same in all computer modeling tasks. During the study, patterns of changes in the following parameters of the screw piercing process were obtained: the force acting on the roll, the axial force on the piercing plug, the rolling moment, the axial speed of the pipe workpiece, the rolling power. The article also provides a review of scientific papers devoted to the study of the process of screw piercing process of pipe workpieces using computer modeling.

The research was carried out within the framework of the agreement with RF Ministry of science and higher education No. 075-03-2023-006 dated 16.01.2023 (No. of theme FEUZ-0000-0000).
