Abstract | As a result of the many years researches, «VIOGEM» JSC created the regional hydrodynamic model of Kovdor deposit of baddeleyte-apatite-magnetite ores. On the basis of this model was recommended the complex of the immediate and prospective projects of the protection of near-edge massifs and open pit area from the negative effect of underground and other water discharge outlets during the construction of the ultradeep open pit with the enlarged slopes` angles of benches and edges. According to the hydrodynamic model and actual data, the basic part of water inflow to the open pit is situated on its North-eastern and Eastern edges.
