Chernye Metally
The April issue of the "Ferrous Metals" journal contains two main sections: "Pipe production" and "Metallurgy and heat treatment".
In the "Pipe production" section the authors of NUST "MISiS", JSC "RusNITI", JSC "PNTZ", Ural Federal University, M.N. Mikheev Institute of Metal Physics presented new developments in various processes of pipe production, such as electric-welded technology, helical rolling and drawing.
The "Metallurgy and heat treatment" section presents articles by authors of the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, the Z.I. Nekrasov Institute of Ferrous Metallurgy, Azov State Technical University, Wuhan University of Science and Technology, Naberezhnye Chelny Institute of Kazan Federal University and other organizations devoted to the microstructural heterogeneity of sheet metal, annealing of alloy steels with a mixed structure, the effect of heat treatment on properties and structure of cast iron, the possibilities of application cast iron with vermicular graphite in the automotive industry.
This section publishes congratulations on the anniversary of one of the authors of the article Vladislav Anatolyevich Lutsenko, a leading specialist in the field of heat treatment of steel products, a member of the editorial board of the "Ferrous Metals" journal.
The issue ends with the second part of the article devoted to the continuation of the study of environmental risks of the largest Russian ferrous metallurgy companies using public data. Based on the identified factors that have a significant impact on the level of environmental risks, the authors have developed a methodology for calculating the integral index of environmental risks for ferrous metallurgy companies, based on five groups of indicators: air pollution, water use, solid waste emissions, environmental costs, investment activity. The first part of this article was published in No. 2, 2021.
