“Chernye metally” journal No. 5 for 2021 was published.
In the Beneficiation of ores section the authors presented methods, technologies and devices for beneficiation of iron ore raw materials to increase the efficiency of iron concentrate production.
The Rolling and heat treatment section contains articles devoted to thermomechanical processing of sheet metal up to 100 mm thick, cold rolling of a strip, modernization of a roller table of a bloom continuous casting machine. The Metallurgy and metallography section is devoted to the study of iron-based amorphous alloys properties, fatigue tests of welded joints of 32G2 and 40KhN steels and study of effect of hardness on the impact toughness of car castings. In the Ecology and recycling section, articles are devoted to processing of liquid sludge and production of grinding bodies from rejected rail steels.
The issue ends with the Machine-building technologies section containing articles devoted to the study of combining the processes of drawing and extrusion in the manufacture of cylindrical products.
Also published congratulations on the anniversaries of Professor Oleg Igorevich Boriskin, a member of the editorial board of the Ferrous Metals journal, and Professor Vasily Efimovich Roshchin, Chief Researcher of the chair for Pyrometallurgical Processes of South Ural State University.
